Jacob I. Weddle was born in Frederick, Maryland on June 22, 1980. He earned his B.S. summa cum laude from the University of Maryland at College Park in 2002 where he majored in Environmental Science and Policy. In May, 2007, Jake received his J.D. cum laude from The University of Baltimore School of Law. While in law school Jake was named to the school’s Trademark Moot Court team which competed in the national competition in New York City. Additionally, while in law school, Jake earned his graduating class’ highest grade in the second semester legal writing course.

     Jake began working at Gordon & Simmons in February 2006 as a law clerk. After graduation, and while awaiting his bar results, he returned to Gordon & Simmons. Currently, Jake’s practice consists of general litigation.

     Jake welcomes the opportunity to return to Frederick to practice law, and to establish a home with his wife. Away from the office, Jake is an avid athlete; he enjoys baseball, basketball, football, golf and skiing.
